Job Overview:
We are seeking to hire and train a newly California-licensed attorney who graduated from an ABA-accredited law school to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters and providing expert legal advice to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Provide legal counsel on a wide range of issues
- Manage and oversee legal administrative tasks
- willingness to travel to court proceedings, mediations, depositions, arbitrations and related matters
Requirements:
- Strong interest in representing employees in their disputes with employers
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the CA State Bar
- Skill in legal research, writing, and drafting
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to litigate cases effectively
- Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw platforms
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in legal drafting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
