At Jubilee Central, our mission is to create an amazing space for the community and change lives through employment.

Owned by Jubilee Church Hull, Jubilee Central is a large venue in the centre of Hull which is used as an event space, for conferencing and community groups as well as being a church.

The revenue from Jubilee Central is reinvested back into the local community through the many projects that Jubilee Church are involved with a special focus on helping people who are long-term unemployed back into work.

In Spring 2026, we are opening a new café which is going to be create an even bigger welcome into our building and space for the community to meet. It will also be a place where those coming through our training programmes will get employment opportunities.

We\'re looking for a full-time Café Chef to help launch this new venture. You\'ll be responsible for the preparation and delivery of food within the café and for events happening in the rest of the building. You will have a key role in helping delivery amazing service whilst working with those coming through our employment programme.

What we\'re looking for someone who is:

· Passionate about hospitality and creating a great customer experience

· Organised, reliable and proactive

· Experienced within the catering industry and excited about leading on a new and exciting project.

· Enthusiastic about contributing to a team that drives meaningful social impact

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for food preparation and delivery ensuring high-quality, well-presented food is presented consistently.

· Develop menus that stand out and give people a reason to visit.

· Coach, support, and develop team members (including trainees) to ensure high performance and progression.

· Ensure kitchen has sufficient supplies for running and source food from local suppliers.

· Follow highest standards of food safety and that all regulations are followed by all staff.

· £28,000 per year

· 8.5% employer pension contributions
