Cybersecurity Intern
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events across the organization.
- Review security alerts and notifications.
- Assist with threat analysis and escalation.
- Support incident response efforts.
- Research vulnerabilities and emerging technologies.
- Audit systems against the information security framework.
- Help prepare reporting metrics for leadership.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- Enrollment in a cybersecurity or related program preferred.
- Basic understanding of risk analysis, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, identity and access management, incident response, and CIS Controls.
- Related coursework or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Security+, or OSCP is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Reliability, adaptability, attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Skills in threat analysis, alert triage, incident response support, vulnerability research, information security framework awareness, systems auditing, critical thinking, professional communication, and team collaboration.
