Job Title: Evening Warehouse Helper

Location: On Site, Queens Village, NY

Schedule: Evenings, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM (10 to 12 hour shifts), days per week confirmed at hire

Compensation: $18 per hour

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099). No benefits, no overtime.

ATC is a fast paced transportation and logistics company specializing in freight coordination, dispatch, and local delivery across the Northeast, with a growing focus on air cargo moving through the New York area airports. We operate around the clock out of our Queens Village terminal, and our evening warehouse crew is what keeps trucks loaded, clean, and ready to roll before the morning drivers arrive. We are looking for a dependable Evening Warehouse Helper who shows up on time, works hard, and takes pride in a clean and organized facility.

Position Overview

The Evening Warehouse Helper supports the night warehouse team with the hands-on work that keeps freight moving. You will help unload and load trucks, keep the warehouse and trucks swept and clear, and take care of general upkeep around the building and office. This is a physical, on your feet role in an active dock environment with forklifts and freight moving throughout the shift.

You will report to the night warehouse lead and the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with unloading inbound trucks and loading outbound trucks, including pulling skids out of trailers and staging skids for loading
  • Unbuckle and remove load straps and pull pallet jacks and equipment out of trucks as they arrive
  • Move freight safely by hand or with a manual pallet jack, following direction from the warehouse lead
  • Keep freight organized and staged in the correct area so drivers can load and leave on time
  • Sweep out trucks and trailers after they are unloaded so they are clean and ready for the next load
  • Sweep the warehouse floor and dock areas throughout the shift and keep walkways clear
  • Take out the garbage and keep the dumpster and trash areas orderly
  • Clean and restock the bathrooms and vacuum the office
  • Report any damage, spills, or safety concerns to the warehouse lead right away

What Success Looks Like

  • Trucks are swept, staged, and ready before morning drivers arrive
  • Warehouse floor, dock, and walkways stay clear and safe throughout the shift
  • Bathrooms, office, and trash areas are clean at the end of every shift

Qualifications

  • Reliable and punctual with consistent evening and overnight availability
  • Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and stay on your feet for a 10 to 12 hour shift
  • Comfortable working in an active dock environment around forklifts and moving freight
  • Takes direction well and works safely and efficiently without close supervision
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred but Not Required

  • Prior warehouse, dock, moving, or general labor experience
  • Experience with a manual pallet jack
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
