Executive Assistant, Production (Disney Kids & Family)

Disney is hiring an Executive Assistant, Production (Disney Kids & Family) based in Burbank, CA. This role sits within Disney Entertainment Television and provides direct administrative support to one or more executives overseeing scripted and unscripted content for Disney+, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. It suits a production-savvy assistant who already knows the difference between a greenlight meeting and a table read, and who can hold a complex slate together without being told twice.

About the Role

Disney Kids & Family develops and produces film and television content across four major platforms, which means the project calendar at any given moment spans early development, active production, and post-production simultaneously. The executive or executives you support are working across all of it, coordinating with producers, talent representatives, writers, and finance partners on projects at every stage. A typical day moves between calendar triage, document prep, budget tracking, and fielding calls from external partners across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex, shifting calendars for one or more executives, covering development sessions, pitch meetings, table reads, greenlight meetings, and production check-ins across multiple time zones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for studios, talent agencies, producers, and internal teams, using sound judgment about what reaches the executive and when.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel tied to production schedules and location visits, building detailed itineraries that account for set logistics.
  • Track department budgets, expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders in partnership with Production Finance, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Maintain version control over script drafts, casting materials, and production schedules, keeping confidential documents organized and accessible to the right people.
  • Support onboarding of new hires, vendors, and consultants, including equipment access and paperwork processing tied to episodic television and film projects.

What You Bring

  • Three or more years of experience as an executive assistant, preferably within film or television production.
  • Familiarity with the development and production workflow for scripted or unscripted content, including how post-production calendars affect executive availability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Concur or a comparable travel and expense platform is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential talent and project information with discretion across a high-volume slate.

Why This Role

Disney Kids & Family operates one of the most active kids and family content slates in the television industry, with original programming spread across streaming and linear platforms. Supporting executives at this level puts you inside decisions that shape what gets made, cast, and greenlit across that entire portfolio. For an assistant with production ambitions, the exposure here is real and the career path within Disney Entertainment Television is well established.
