Part-Time Bookkeeper – QuickBooks Online & ConnectWise – Long-Term

We are a small U.S.-based Managed Services Provider (MSP) looking for an experienced, reliable part-time bookkeeper to take ownership of our routine bookkeeping and accounting processes.

We use QuickBooks Online (QBO) for accounting and ConnectWise Manage for our business operations, including customer agreements, time entry and invoicing. One of the primary goals of this position is to ensure information flows accurately between ConnectWise and QBO and to significantly reduce the amount of time company leadership spends managing routine accounting activities and investigating discrepancies.

This is a long-term position expected to require approximately 8–12 hours per week initially. Hours may increase as the person becomes familiar with our business and takes on additional responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage routine bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online

• Manage Accounts Receivable and customer payment follow-up

• Manage Accounts Payable and vendor bills

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

• Review customer invoices and billing records for accuracy

• Monitor accounting information flowing between ConnectWise and QBO

• Identify and investigate discrepancies between the two systems

• Assist with month-end close and reconciliations

• Maintain accurate and current financial records

• Prepare routine financial and management reports

• Document recurring bookkeeping procedures

• Identify opportunities to improve or streamline accounting processes

• Proactively communicate issues requiring management attention

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong hands-on QuickBooks Online experience

• Several years of bookkeeping experience with U.S. businesses

• Strong understanding of AR, AP, reconciliations and month-end bookkeeping

• Experience with service-based or recurring-revenue businesses preferred

• MSP or IT services experience is a significant plus

• ConnectWise Manage experience is strongly preferred, but not required

• Ability and willingness to learn how ConnectWise integrates with QBO is required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of recurring responsibilities

We are not looking simply for someone to enter transactions. We want a bookkeeper who notices when something does not look right, investigates the issue, communicates clearly and helps improve the process.

AVAILABILITY

It is fine if you have other clients. However, we need someone who has sufficient capacity to consistently support us each week, meet recurring deadlines and be reasonably responsive during U.S. business hours.

Please be candid about your current workload and availability.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

Success means our books are current and accurate, reconciliations are completed on schedule, receivables are actively monitored, ConnectWise and QBO remain aligned, issues are identified before they become larger problems, and company leadership spends significantly less time managing routine bookkeeping and accounting workflows.

This is intended to be a long-term relationship. Final candidates may be asked to complete a paid skills assessment and will be required to consent to a background check.
