Performance Creative Lead

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Europe, EMEA, United Kingdom

At MoneyGram, we're combining the strength of a trusted global brand with the agility of a tech-forward, growth driven culture. With 85+ years of experience and a presence in more than 200 countries and territories, we've built a foundation of stability and trust to help millions of people around the world send funds quickly, securely, and affordably.

We're looking for bold thinkers, builders, technologists, and sellers who want real ownership of their work, thrive in collaborative environments, and are energized by solving complex challenges. Here, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact - fast.

If you're eager to shape the future of cross-border payments and financial services, join us as we transform how the world moves money.

About the Role

We're looking for a Performance Creative Lead who speaks both craft and performance fluently and can build a team that's capable of doing the same. You'll be a player-coach: raise the bar, hire and develop strong talent, and still get into the work yourself. At MoneyGram, everyone is an IC.

You'll own the performance creative system: the strategy, team, testing frameworks and output that help us produce high-performing ads at scale across our global markets. We already produce a high volume of creative today. The next phase is about scaling that output with more intentionality: better systems, sharper creative strategy, stronger testing loops, better localisation and clear answers on which creative investments are driving more sign-ups at lower cost. Paid social will be your core focus, but your creative thinking will extend across our wider paid media channels.

This isn't a role where you'll just manage a team and review creative. You'll work closely with Growth Marketing to turn performance data into creative decisions, defining what gets tested, what gets improved and what gets scaled. Alongside Creative Operations, you'll make sure the team has the capacity and workflows to deliver great work at pace. AI will be central to how you work, both in the creative you produce and in building smarter, faster ways of working across the team.

If you bring the fire to raise the bar, think like a customer and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done, you're our person!

What success looks like within a year: A creative team producing winning ads: customer centric, on brand, compliant, channel-native and relentlessly tested. A growing library of creative intelligence, stronger team capability and measurable improvements in creative performance that contribute to reducing customer acquisition cost (CAC).

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Build a team that thinks. Hire, coach and develop strong creative talent. Set expectations, raise the bar and build a team that brings ideas, not just takes briefs.
  • Decide what gets made. The concepts, hooks, scripts and formats the team creates. Challenge the obvious, push for better ideas and give feedback people can act on.
  • Find the idea worth testing. Get close to the customer. Understand what makes people stop, pay attention and take action. Turn those insights into creative ideas that do more than look good.
  • Test the creative. Hook against hook, purchase driver against purchase driver, format against format. Know what you're trying to learn and let the results decide what gets stopped, improved or scaled.
  • Find out what converts. Work with Growth Marketing to understand what happens after the click. Turn creative performance data into decisions that help bring CAC down.
  • Spread what wins. When something works in one market, get it into other markets, channels and languages fast. Know what travels, what needs adapting and when it's time for a new idea.
  • Make the learnings stick. Build the tracking, tagging and creative libraries that make winning patterns easy to find, understand and repeat. Don't let good ideas or useful insights disappear after a test.
  • Stay in the work. Develop concepts, write hooks and scripts, make examples and step into production. Show the team what good looks like, not just what's wrong with the work.
  • Get content finished. Work with Creative Operations to manage capacity, workflows and production priorities. Use in-house talent, contractors and external partners to get great work out at pace.
  • Push the creative, protect the brand. Don't confuse more variations with better ideas. Make work that stands out, feels native to the channel and stays accurate, on brand and compliant.
  • Put AI to work. Use it to explore ideas, create content, test new approaches and move faster. Help the team do the same, without losing creative judgement.

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years in creative. You've led creative teams, shaped creative strategy and made decisions that improved performance. Show us what changed under your leadership, creatively and commercially.
  • A portfolio, not a résumé. Paid media creative you've owned, your own or a brand's. Bring the work, explain the thinking and tell us what the numbers did.
  • Ideas worth testing. You've turned customer insights into concepts, hooks and messages with clear hypotheses behind them. Show us the ideas, what you tested, what you learned and how the results shaped what came next.
  • A team you've led and developed. Direct people management, not just creative direction. You've hired, coached, managed performance and handled difficult conversations. Tell us who got better under you.
  • A performance creative system you've built. Testing frameworks, creative analytics, tagging and workflows. Show us what you built, what you learned and how it changed the team's decisions and results. You know your CTR, CVR and CAC, and how creative influences them.
  • Content you've made yourself. Concepts, hooks, scripts, statics, motion and video. You can still get into the work, not just give feedback on what others have made.
  • Creative that works across markets. You understand different audiences, cultures and channels. You know which ideas travel, which need adapting and how to make creative feel relevant, not simply translated.
  • Proof you can deliver at scale. You've managed high-volume creative output without losing quality or control. You know how to move fast, make decisions and keep the work getting better.
  • Real use of AI creative tools. You've made things with them, improved workflows and helped your team do the same. Show us what you've built.
  • Conviction backed by evidence. You have opinions, challenge assumptions and aren't afraid to push an idea. But you're not precious about being right. When the results tell you something different, you listen.
  • Clear thinking, clear communication. A brief a creator can follow, feedback a team can act on and a creative recommendation you can defend with both ideas and evidence.
