Remote - Behavioral Health Insurance Credentialing Specialist($15 - $17, per hour)

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Credentialing Specialist to independently manage the full credentialing process for a small start-up, but growing mental health practice. This is not an entry-level or training role. You must have direct, hands-on experience credentialing mental health providers with major insurance panels and be able to operate independently reputed company. Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end credentialing for therapists and providers with • Commercial payers (e.g., reputed company, reputed company, reputed company) • Government payers (Medicare, Medi-Cal / Medicaid) • Complete and track applications through platforms such as reputed company and payer portals • Follow up with insurance companies to ensure timely approval and activation • Set up providers in payer systems to ensure claims can be submitted and paid • Troubleshoot credentialing delays, rejections, and enrollment issues • Maintain accurate documentation and status tracking for all providers • Negotiate reimbursement rates for CPT codes • 90791 (intake) • 90834 (45-min therapy) • 90837 (60-min therapy) • Ensure providers are fully credentialed and ready for billing without errors Requirements (Non-Negotiable) • Proven experience credentialing mental health providers with insurance companies (not general medical, not sales) • Direct credentialing enrollment experience with • reputed company • reputed company • Medicare • Medi-Cal • Strong familiarity with reputed company, NPI, and payer enrollment systems • Experience negotiating or discussing reimbursement rates with payers • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight • Detail-oriented, persistent, and highly organized Schedule & Compensation • Part-time to start (flexible hours) • Opportunity for increased hours based on performance Ideal Candidate You are someone who • Has already done this work (mental health credentialling) and does not need training • Understands payer systems and credentialing timelines • Can push processes forward without constant follow-up • Is comfortable handling negotiations and administrative complexity To Apply reputed company submit your resume and answer the screening questions.
