[Remote] Golang / HashiCorp Vault Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apolis is seeking a hands-on Golang / HashiCorp Vault Engineer to support a credential platform and migrate existing capabilities to HashiCorp Vault. The role focuses on developing secure credential-management applications, building Vault integrations and plugins, supporting IAM-compliant credential storage, and handling operational and production support activities.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, test, and enhance applications and services for the credential platform
  • Build HashiCorp Vault capabilities to replace legacy credential-management features
  • Develop integrations and plugins and onboard tools into the enterprise environment
  • Support secure non-human credential storage in compliance with IAM policies
  • Perform development, engineering, automation, operational, and DevOps activities
  • Follow architectural, product, and usability standards
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
  • Troubleshoot and support production applications

Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on Golang experience
  • Strong object-oriented programming and scalable software design skills
  • Strong **HashiCorp Vault** experience, including: + Authentication backends + Secret engines + Plugin development
  • Experience with **AWS, Azure, or GCP**
  • Production application support and troubleshooting experience
  • Understanding of **IAM, least-privilege access, and secure credential handling**
  • Experience migrating legacy secrets/credential platforms to **HashiCorp Vault**
  • Financial services or other regulated enterprise experience
  • Experience with incident and vulnerability management processes
