[Remote] HR Specialist / Jr. HR Generalist (100% Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Peregrine Team is seeking an HR Specialist / Jr. HR Generalist to support its growing multi-state workforce. The role focuses on employee relations, compliance, onboarding and offboarding, policy administration, investigations, and day-to-day HR operations.


Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations for a multi-state workforce
  • Assist with employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns
  • Support compliance with California employment laws and applicable federal and state employment requirements
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, accommodations, and employee lifecycle activities
  • Maintain employee files, HRIS records, and required documentation
  • Assist with employee investigations and sensitive workplace matters
  • Support policy administration, handbook updates, and compliance initiatives
  • Partner with HR, Recruiting, Payroll, and management on employee-related matters
  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, and special projects
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information

Skills

  • 2-4 years of professional HR experience
  • PHR certification required
  • Direct professional experience with California employment law
  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and competing priorities
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Staffing or recruiting industry experience
  • High-volume hiring and onboarding experience
  • Experience supporting a multi-state W-2 workforce
