Remote Medical Coder and Biller - Part Time (eClinical Works experience required)
Description:
Pain Management and ENT practice seeking Medical Billing Specialist and Coder with experience submitting claims in eClinical Works.
- Scrubbing Claims: ensure all claims sent/returned are reviewed and corrected as needed for all procedures and clinic visits
- Submitting professional and facility claims to all payors and tracking accordingly
- Payment Posting: confirming payments are correct for each claim down to the itemized CPT codes and posting payment in eCW
- Managing A/R: tracking all claims and following up all denials to minimize write offs and maximize reimbursement
- Working with back office team on a weekly basis to maximize efficient claim submission and payment processing
- Stay current with evolving medical coding standards such as ICD-10/ICD-9 updates, CPT changes, and relevant healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Report to senior billing specialist for guidance and training (she is retiring and will be transitioning out of the practice in the next 6-12 months)
Requirements:
- 2 years or more of Medical Billing Experience with eClinical Works
- 2 years or more experience as a Certified Professional Coder (preferred)
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients when necessary.
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
