[Remote] Sr. Manager, Finance Transformation (Cloud and Marketplaces)

The Finance Transformation leader will design, scale, and automate financial systems and operational processes supporting the Hyperscaler Marketplace business, while optimizing quote-to-cash and revenue recognition architecture. The role bridges Corporate Finance, Sales Operations, and Product Engineering and leads marketplace integrations, reconciliations, compliance, and change management.


Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Scalability: Partner with IT and Product Engineering to design and implement scalable workflows that bridge the gap between hyperscaler portals and core finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Zuora
  • Automate workflows: Design and implement automated finance workflows to handle complex marketplace transactions, including Private Offers (CPPO/MPPO) and custom metering
  • Integrate systems: Partner with IT to seamlessly connect Hyperscaler APIs and marketplace management platforms (e.g. Tackle.io) with core finance systems
  • Build data pipelines: Own the financial data model for marketplace transactions, ensuring reliable ingestion of raw billing and disbursement data into reporting warehouses
  • Manage compliance: Define financial process standards for deferred revenue, gross-vs-net revenue accounting, and ASC 606 compliance specific to cloud marketplace deductions and listing fees
  • Streamline reconciliations: Build scalable transaction-level reconciliation models to match hyperscaler disbursements and remittance advices against internal sales contracts
  • Financial Integrity: Maintain transaction accuracy, ensure marketplace listing fees are accurately tracked, and handle dense, unstructured third-party reseller data
  • Business Model Alignment: Partner with Finance, Product and Partner Operations teams to prepare finance and accounting operations for newly introduced marketplace product offerings
  • Lead change management: Direct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the finance and accounting teams when launching new marketplace capabilities

Skills

  • Core Finance: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations, financial systems, or tech-sector management consulting
  • Marketplace Exposure: 5+ years of direct experience managing the financial operations, billing infrastructure, or billing reconciliation of apps sold through AWS, GCP, or Azure Marketplaces
  • Transformation Track Record: Proven experience leading large-scale software integrations or Q2C transformation cycles in a B2B SaaS or enterprise tech environment
  • Marketplace Tools: Deep familiarity with cloud partner portals (AWS, GCP, Azure) and marketplace monetization middleware (e.g., Tackle.io)
  • ERP & Revenue Systems: Advanced knowledge of enterprise ERP systems and specialized revenue recognition systems (e.g., Zuora RevPro)
  • Data Fluency: Solid proficiency utilizing SQL or Business Intelligence tools to dissect, clear, and transform unstructured billing data
