This is a U.S.-based W-2 employee position. We are not hiring an independent contractor, offshore provider, bookkeeping company, or staffing agency.

  • Maintain client books in QuickBooks Online
  • Categorize and review transactions
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Record deposits, payments, transfers, and journal entries
  • Assist with payroll entries and reconciliations
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts

  • Strong written communication skills
  • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

  • Experience working for a bookkeeping, accounting, or outsourced CFO firm
  • Nonprofit or church accounting experience
  • BILL or similar accounts payable platform experience
  • Payroll system experience
  • Month-end close experience

Who Will Do Well Here

You don't need to know every system we use on day one. You do need to understand accounting and know how to investigate a problem.

We're looking for someone who notices when something doesn't make sense, researches it, asks thoughtful questions, and follows an issue through to resolution.

You should be comfortable managing work for multiple clients while keeping each client's records, deadlines, and procedures organized.

Reliability matters. If you say something will be completed by a certain date, we need to be able to depend on that.

This position has the potential to grow as the firm continues to grow.

Schedule

  • Approximately 15-20 hours per week initially
  • Potential for increased hours over time
  • Remote
  • Consistent weekly availability required
  • Work generally completed during normal U.S. business hours

Compensation

$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
