Remote | Flexible Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunities

About the Opportunity

We are developing a healthcare program offering Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Chronic Care Management (CCM), and potentially Behavioral Health Integration (BHI).

We are seeking an experienced professional to guide our startup through the clinical, documentation, billing, and compliance requirements involved in establishing these services.

Our primary need is someone who can explain what is required at each step of the patient journey and help us build the appropriate processes from the beginning.

Direct RPM experience and practical compliance expertise are essential. This is not a training position.

Responsibilities

  • Review our proposed program and identify requirements, missing steps, and compliance gaps.
  • Guide us through requirements for patient eligibility, enrollment, consent, provider assessments and orders, care planning, device setup, monitoring, patient communication, clinical escalation, and billing.
  • Clarify responsibilities for physicians, NPs, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, including applicable supervision requirements.
  • Define what must be documented, by whom, and at which stage.
  • Develop and write policies and procedures, along with supporting forms, templates, and compliance checklists.
  • Explain applicable Medicare/CMS and payer requirements and how they affect program design.
  • Work with clinical leadership, software vendors, and billing specialists to align the complete workflow.
  • Establish documentation review and billing-readiness processes.
  • Research uncertain requirements and identify when legal counsel or another specialist is needed.
  • Support ongoing compliance questions and updates as the program grows.

Required Experience

  • Direct experience with an RPM program, including responsibility for compliance requirements.
  • Practical experience interpreting requirements and translating them into workflows and documentation standards.
  • Experience personally developing and writing RPM policies and procedures.
  • Ability to advise a startup on building a compliant program from enrollment through billing.
  • Understanding of RPM documentation, billing eligibility, staffing responsibilities, and clinical oversight.
  • Ability to distinguish regulatory requirements, payer-specific rules, and recommended practices.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to explain requirements clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching an RPM program or developing its compliance framework.
  • CCM and BHI experience.
  • Experience with home-based RPM and connected monitoring devices.
  • Healthcare compliance, clinical, coding, or billing credentials relevant to the role.

Engagement

Flexible full-time, part-time, or consulting arrangements may be considered, with the potential for ongoing involvement.

Please Include With Your Application

  • Describe your direct RPM experience and the compliance responsibilities you personally owned.
  • Have you helped establish an RPM program or develop its policies and workflows?
  • Share an example of a compliance question you researched and resolved.

We are especially interested in candidates who have personally determined and explained program requirements, developed compliant processes, and advised leadership throughout implementation.
