Senior Financial Crime Investigator, Spanish, English

Job Description:

  • Investigate complex or high-risk anti-money laundering alerts on business accounts
  • Recommend Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to Monzo Bank EU
  • Make business onboarding decisions in high-risk or complex cases
  • Conduct ongoing due diligence on high-risk business accounts
  • Provide financial crime expertise and support to operational teams across the business
  • Complete application questions, recruiter call, take-home financial crime task, and interview with technical, values, and language assessment

Requirements:

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent Italian written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience conducting high-risk business banking screening or complex business financial crime investigations
  • Experience making independent, risk-based financial crime decisions in a regulated financial services firm
  • Knowledge of the current financial crime landscape in the UK and EU and associated financial crime risks
  • Ability to commit to Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm training for the first 8 weeks
  • No holidays/time off authorized during the first 8 weeks of training
