About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Senior Video Editor to join their content creation team in Victoria, British Columbia . In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content for a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials. You will work closely with content strategists and marketing specialists to ensure videos align with brand messaging and campaign goals. Key Responsibilities Edit and assemble raw video footage into compelling narratives, ensuring seamless flow and pacing. Incorporate graphics, special effects, music, and sound effects to enhance video content and achieve desired aesthetic impact. Collaborate with the content team to understand video requirements, project goals, and target audience for each piece. Manage and organize video assets, project files, and libraries to maintain an efficient workflow. Ensure all video output meets technical specifications for various platforms (e.g., social media aspect ratios, web streaming requirements). Stay current with industry trends, editing techniques, and new software to continuously improve video quality and creativity. Requirements Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse video projects. Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects is highly desirable. Solid understanding of video production processes, including color correction, audio mixing, and encoding. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects with strict deadlines.
