The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Shopify E-commerce Analytics Reviewer to provide subject-matter expertise for AI training focused on e-commerce workflows and analytics. You will assess whether analytical scenarios, task structures, terminology, metrics, and deliverables reflect how Shopify is used in real-world store operations and analysis.
The listing is marked entry level, but the role requires at least five years of hands-on Shopify experience across store operations, development, or analytics.

What You'll Do
You will review task designs against actual Shopify platform workflows and data structures. Your feedback will help ensure that AI training materials use consistent language, appropriate metrics, and realistic expectations for operators and analysts.
You will provide clear, actionable recommendations in written and verbal formats, helping refine definitions and task structures from both Shopify operator and e-commerce analyst perspectives.

- Evaluate conversion, retention, cohort, and revenue measurements
- Recommend improvements to terminology, metrics, and task structures
- Validate definitions against Shopify and e-commerce best practices

Requirements
You should have comprehensive knowledge of Shopify orders, products, customers, reporting, and related data models. Strong e-commerce analytics expertise is required, along with the ability to communicate analytical judgments and recommendations clearly.
Experience advising on best practices for Shopify-related analytical work is important. The role also calls for careful review of assumptions, terminology, deliverables, and metrics.
