Spanish Translation for Energy-Efficiency Content

We’re looking for a Spanish copywriter and translator to adapt our English energy-efficiency content into Spanish for Central Florida residents. This is marketing transcreation, not literal translation. The copy should sound natural to Caribbean Spanish ears without alienating other Hispanic groups, and it should reflect our brand voice and our goal of promoting energy-saving habits.

Main project: about 10 hours of work, to be completed within 1 week

Ongoing: smaller ad hoc translation and review requests over the following 3-4 months

Total estimated hours: 20-40, at less than 30 hours/week

Turnaround on ad hoc requests: same day to 1 day

Must-have

Native or heritage-level Spanish, written and verbal

Fluent written and verbal English

Proven experience writing Spanish marketing copy, not just translating

Familiarity with U.S. Hispanic culture, including code-switching, Spanglish registers, and what lands vs. what feels foreign

Ability to write for Caribbean Spanish ears without alienating other groups

Portfolio of Spanish marketing work (required)

Strong content creation, copy editing, and proofreading skills

Familiarity with brand messaging and values

Attention to detail and cultural sensitivity

Availability for same-day to 1-day turnaround
