Warehouse Receiving Dock Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Receiving Dock Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily dock operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of inbound freight, and maintaining performance standards set by the Inbound Manager. This role requires strong attention to detail, leadership, and a hands-on approach to support the team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all receiving dock activities to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
  • Maintain dock-to-stock timelines:
  • All freight must be processed and completed by end of day
  • Ground shipments must be completed within 24 hours of arrival
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies by physically auditing and counting product locations
  • Review and track camera footage to support investigations and resolve issues
  • Manage and respond to Spex tickets in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and operational guidelines
  • Hold team members accountable to performance standards set by the Inbound Manager
  • Monitor team productivity, accuracy, and adherence to processes
  • Manage the teams time cards

Team Leadership & Support:

  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to receiving team members
  • Step in as needed to assist with offloading, receiving, or other dock tasks to maintain workflow
  • Promote a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment

Accountability & Communication:

  • Report any team member issues—including attendance, performance, or conduct—to the Inbound Manager for further action
  • Communicate operational challenges, discrepancies, and process improvements clearly and promptly
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting are completed accurately

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or receiving operations (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
  • Ability to lead a team while also performing hands-on tasks
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Forklift Experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
