Head of Search Relevance – Target E‑Commerce Product Team

Job Summary
Lead the Search Relevance product group, owning the product vision and strategy to deliver highly relevant search experiences across Target.com and in‑store touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Own product vision, portfolio strategy, and roadmap for the Search Relevance team.
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of capabilities that interpret customer intent and surface relevant results.
- Collaborate closely with research, data science, data engineering and discovery teams to build a cohesive search experience.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders in advanced discovery, marketing, data science, and innovation to align goals and metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a high‑performing team of product managers spanning several experience levels.
- Measure business outcomes, set KPIs, and iterate based on data and experimental results.
- Leverage expertise in semantic search, natural language processing, and AI to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in software engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of product management experience in a customer‑facing SaaS or retail environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience building AI‑driven products in collaboration with data science and design.
- Strong data analytics skills and a proven track record of translating data insights into product impact.
- Deep understanding of search, discovery, and recommendation products and algorithms.
- Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects while leading a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire cross‑functional collaboration.
- Preferred: prior experience in a large retail or e‑commerce organization.
