Ready to take charge behind the scenes and keep our store moving at full speed? As the <strong>In Stock Specialist</strong>, you will serve as the store’s point person for in-stock integrity, pricing accuracy, and the optimal performance of The Fresh Market’s electronic shelf tags and AI-powered in-stock camera system. You will own price accuracy, on-shelf availability (OSA), and in-stock execution across the store, playing a critical role in accuracy and compliance—especially during key item transitions and promotions<strong>. </strong>This role embodies the culture and leadership of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork—ensuring every guest enjoys the same high-quality, frictionless experience. Working at a fast pace, you will maintain critical in-stock positions, oversee planogram execution, and verify signage and pricing accuracy, all while delivering exceptional guest service. You will also prepare the store for future and continuous technology integrations, ensuring readiness for next-generation solutions<strong>. </strong>By combining sharp attention to detail with strong organizational skills across teams, you will inspire guest confidence, uphold operational compliance, and help drive sales success.<br><br><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensure all electronic shelf tags and Captana systems are functioning correctly.</li><li>Serve as the point person for AI-powered cameras for in-stock tracking.</li><li>Conduct regular out-of-stock checks and take corrective action to ensure availability.</li><li>Manage planogram execution and ensure product placement accuracy.</li><li>Own price accuracy across all departments, ensuring shelf tags, signage, and promotional displays are correct.</li><li>Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events. </li><li>Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.</li><li>Validate deals, promotions, and price changes for accuracy in signage and shelf tags.</li><li>Support pricing integrity processes by conducting spot audits and resolving discrepancies.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Availability:<br><br></strong>This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. <br><br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>At a minimum, what you’ll need:<br><br></strong><ul><li>2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.</li><li>1–2 years of experience coordinating teams.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.</li><li>Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical And Work Conditions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, and exposure to extreme temperatures.</li><li>Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.</li><li>Required to spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law).</li><li>Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:<br><br></strong><em>The Fresh Market is a proud, equal-opportunity employer that is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.</em> <br><br><em>Reasonable Accommodation: Consistent with applicable laws, The Fresh Market will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants and team members, unless doing so would result in an undue hardship to The Fresh Market.
