HR Specialist / Jr. HR Generalist (100% Remote)

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Peregrine Team is seeking an HR Specialist / Jr. HR Generalist to support our growing multi-state workforce. This position is ideal for an HR professional with a strong foundation in human resources who is looking to expand their experience in employee relations, compliance, onboarding and offboarding, policy administration, investigations, and overall HR operations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support day-to-day HR operations for a multi-state workforce</li><li>Assist with employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns</li><li>Support compliance with California employment laws and applicable federal and state employment requirements</li><li>Assist with onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, accommodations, and employee lifecycle activities</li><li>Maintain employee files, HRIS records, and required documentation</li><li>Assist with employee investigations and sensitive workplace matters</li><li>Support policy administration, handbook updates, and compliance initiatives</li><li>Partner with HR, Recruiting, Payroll, and management on employee-related matters</li><li>Assist with HR audits, reporting, and special projects</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information</li><li>2-4 years of professional HR experience</li><li>PHR certification required</li><li>SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred</li><li>Direct professional experience with California employment law</li><li>Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills</li><li>Ability to manage confidential information and competing priorities</li><li>Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Staffing or recruiting industry experience</li><li>High-volume hiring and onboarding experience</li><li>Experience supporting a multi-state W-2 workforce</li></ul>
