About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People with professional expertise create examples, review model outputs, and provide feedback that helps AI systems become more accurate, useful, and aligned with real-world standards.

In this role, your military and federal documentation experience will help establish realistic examples, evaluation criteria, and feedback for government-focused AI outputs. Prior experience in the AI industry is not required.

  • Shape how AI handles military and federal reporting
  • Use professional judgment to assess realism, clarity, and compliance
  • Work remotely on flexible AI training and evaluation tasks

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Military Writing and Reporting AI Training Specialist to create, review, and evaluate realistic military and federal communications used to train AI systems. You will apply practical experience with Department of Defense documentation to produce standards-aligned reports, summaries, status updates, and executive communications.

You will also help establish benchmarks and grading guidance for effective government writing. The role focuses on domain expertise, clear judgment, and authentic military and federal writing.

  • Draft rubrics and guidelines for assessing military and federal writing
